Two Worlds II Announced

Two Worlds was a game with infinite potential, but famously failed to deliver on pretty much every single expectation, falling severely short, and producing one of the biggest unfinished messes of game that I’ve ever seen. Somehow this horrific shamble of a game has been seen as having the ability to produce some profit yet, as Two World II has been officially announced. But good news that developers TopWare Interactive and Reality Pump are taking most fan criticism to heart and are doing a complete overhaul on the game’s engine, gameplay, interface, and even story. All of which were desperately needed in the first Two Worlds.
Two Worlds II is promising a larger environment, much improved storyline, a menu interface that’s actually possible to use without major difficulty/frustration. Quest lines that you’re actually able to follow, a combat system that actually functions, a map you can actually use to find where you’re going or where you need to go, presumably horses that you’ll actually be capable of riding, etc. I’m fairly excited, as I saw the huge amount of potential from the first Two Worlds that went completely unrealized.

This series could be a worthy foil for Elder Scrolls, but everything depends on the next release. If Two Worlds II is still full of the same problems from the first game, I just don’t see them getting over the massive amount of fan disapproval to ever get to make Two Worlds III.

I really hope they pull something amazing out too. Two Worlds had sooo much potential to offer up an Oblivion-lite experience, I really hope the studio can finally fully realize what Two Worlds could have, and should have been.
