Dark Carnival Announced For Left 4 Dead 2

Valve has announced the coolest thing in the history of zombie FPS games. One of Left 4 Dead 2’s campaigns is to be set in a carnival, and aptly named Dark Carnival. Coolest news practically ever. Apparently there will be three main locations, a hotel, a hillside environment, and a giant carnival featuring working and ride-able rides. Of course the carnival will also feature zombie clowns that can call upon other zombies to give away your location. Also featured in the campaign is a new t-shirt for the Ellis character, and a guitar that can be used as a melee weapon.
Also announced is the addition to a whole brand new breed of infected. Referred to as “the jockey” these zombies jump onto your bahttp://gamingaddict.today.com/wp-admin/post-new.phpck, ala a jockey on a horse, and ride your character. While one is situated on top of you, you lose control of your character and are driven in any direction the jockey pleases. Which usually means you’ll be lead into a horde of zombies with literally no defenses beyond hoping your teammates can step in to save your sorry butt.

Sounds pretty cool. They’re stepping farther and farther from the realm of zombie apocalypse realism. But then that term itself sounds like an oxymoron, so I think some Dark Carnival adventures is okay by me.
