Halo Wars Looks Spectacular So Far
Halo Wars for Xbox 360 looks like it’s going to be one awesome game, for one major reason, Halo Wars is an RTS developed completely for the 360 controller, not an awful port of a PC game mapped to the limitations of a game pad. Because let’s face it, there’s a plethora of awful RTS games on any console.
For example on the 360, Lord Of The Rings: Battle For Middle-Earth 2, a great PC game and an uncontrollable unresponsive mess on 360. Supreme Commander, do I even have to describe the limitations this excellent PC title suffers on 360? I don’t think so, rent it if you haven’t played it, and then return it a half hour later out of sheer disappointment.
So as a fan of RTS you can see why Halo Wars looks so awesome to me, besides the fact that I loved the Halo series. Playing in the Halo universe, with controls specifically built from the ground up with a game pad in mind, and the processing power of the Xbox 360 in mind for unite design and tactics, finally awesomness.
I mean c’mon, just watch that, that looks cool as hell. Seriously.
